JUST IN: Ruto's Two-day Tour in Nyanza Region Programme Released by Statehouse Spokesperson Hussein

The State House Spokesperson Executive Office of the President Hussein Mohamed has detailed the routes President William Ruto will take and the major projects to be launched tomorrow. The President is expected to be in Nyanza Region for a two-day working tour this Friday.

Hussein, further revealed that President Ruto will tour Kisumu, Homa Bay and Siaya Counties. He added that, while in Homa Bay County, the Head of state will launch the first phase of the 5,000 affordable housing programme.

According to the State House Spokesperson, the housing programme is aimed at alleviating the housing deficit within Homa Bay County as well as boosting the local economy.

"Statement on President @WilliamsRuto's two-day working tour of the Nyanza region that kicks off tomorrow. The tour will cover Kisumu, Homa Bay and Siaya Counties,"

"Tomorrow, the President will launch the first phase of the 5,000 affordable housing programme for Homa Bay County. The project is expected to not only alleviate the housing deficit the county, but also significantly boost the local economy." Said Hussein.

President Ruto is also expected to launch and inspect other projects within the Nyanza Region. The newly completed Homa Bay Municipal Market is one of the project the Head of state will officially open it for the local economic transformation.

On matters of blue economy, President Ruto will be commissioning the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology as he concludes his tour in the region.

"The President will also launch and inspect other projects in the region, including commissioning the newly completed Homa Bay Municipal Market. The project is crucial to the economic transformation of the county"
