The Kikuyu Council of Elders is one of the most respected councils in the country as far as their influence is concerned with regards to its community.
The Kikuyu Council of Elders has always had influence both politically and socially in the Agikuyu Community that is one of the biggest tribes in Kenya in terms of population density.
The new chairman goes by the name of Kinyua wa Mwangi and is believed to be a tycoon in Kieni, which is found in Nyeri County.
According to Dennis Itumbi, the new chairman is alleged to be a very well to do man as far as business is concerned.
He is said to be the co-owner of Luisoi resort that is found in Kieni which he shares ownership with a first term governor who Itumbi did not disclose.
He is also said to be the chairman of Kiama kia Ma in Central Kenya where he resides in.
