Ruto close ally has left Kenyans talking after his latest remarks revealing why he supported formation of the office of the opposition leader in Kenya. Johnson Muthama has said that he strongly believes that the founding fathers of our country got it right.
The Ukambani politician argued that power corrupts and many people tend to put their concentration in one place once they have too much power hence forgetting other places. Therefore, the leader proposed that this could lead to misappropriation of office powers.
Muthama has called for formation of the office of the opposition leader so that it can keep checks and balances.
I strongly believe that the founding fathers of our country got it right: power corrupts, & any time you have too much power concentrated in one place, it tends to get abused, so checks & balances are always needed. I fully support formation of office of the opposition leader.
