News just in indicates that Independent Electoral And Boundaries Commission, IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati with Kenyans have been honoured by International Community for conducting a very peaceful elections, the August 9 General Elections.
UN Resident Coordinator, Stephen Jackson has revealed has detailed a meeting involving international community partners that is going on at the Panari Hotel in Nairobi to celebrate the IEBC chairperson and Kenyans at large for the peaceful elections.
He termed the 2022 General Elections as a miracle as he divulged that the international community was saluting Kenyans for their courage and dignity. He has said that the international community is beginning planning to work with the county together to deepen it's democracy.
"International partners proudly together with IEBC Kenya Chair Wefula Chebukati & colleagues to “give thanks” for the 2022 Kenya elections miracle, salute Kenyan courage & dignity & begin planning work together to deepen democracy even further." He wrote.
Chebukati has been celebrated by President William Ruto for standing strong to ensure that justice prevailed even when he was under hostile environment.
