
Ruto's hopes of winning the Nairobi Senatorial seat have been squashed following the big win by Sifuna in the the race. The news having been received by jubilation from a section of Kenyans who are pro Azimio and who are eagerly waiting the results for the gubernatorial seat.

The provision results by the Independent elections and Boundaries Commission shows that the winner won by a margin of close to 700,000 as compared to his main Rival who is yet to concede defeat after the official results were announced by the relevant body of IEBC.
This now means that Sifuna takes over from Sakaja who is awaiting the final tally of the Nairobi Gubernatorial race which has seen him lead his main Rival and former Banker Igathe. Also waiting to know their fate is Passaris and Omanga who had been competing for the woman representative seat which is also a neck to neck race.
