John Mwavuda and Raila Odinga
Mzee John Mwavuda was a prison officer at Shimo La Tewa prison during the period when Raila Odinga was an inmate in the facility. Mwavuda is from Taita Taveta and a close ally to the ODM party leader Raila Odinga. Raila has been helping the former prisons officer as they share a history together.
In a story revealed by Abuga Makori it says that the former prisons officer used to bring Raila Odinga papers which he could use to write letters to his wife Ida Odinga.
"John Mwavuda from Taita Taveta, was a former prisons officer. When Raila Odinga used to be in Shimo La Tewa fighting for CONSTITUTIONAL reforms, Mwavuda used to bring him papers which blhe used to write letters to Ida. H. E Raila has been helping him and he will continue to do so". Makori said.
As Railas' visit to Taita Taveta county he did not forget his long time friend Mzee John Mwavuda as he invited him over during his visit to the county.
Raila made sure that he was present in his rally in mbololo according to the tweet by the ODM party which stated;
"BUDDIES FOREVER: Mzee John Mwavuda was an AFANDE at Shimo La Tewa prison. @RailaOdinga is was an INMATE at the facility. They became friends and their friendship grew bigger and bigger. Baba made sure he came to his rally which was held in his village of Mbololo".
