Waiguru was accompanied by Kirinyaga Members of County Assembly. Donned in yellow a yellow cap, the governor was received by Ruto alongside second lady Mrs. Rachel Ruto, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika and Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
Kihika went ahead welcoming her, through a twitter post.
"Delighted to have received my sister Gov Anne Waiguru and over THIRTY MCA’s including their Speaker and ML from Kirinyaga County into UDA. Chama ni UDA Form ni HUSTLER Mpango ni BOTTOM UP!" Miss Kihika tweeted.
The governor will likely face Kirinyaga women representative Purity Ngirici in the battle for UDA gubernatorial ticket.
Waiguru severed ties with Jubilee after the Court of Appeal thrashed the BBI Constitution Amendment Bill, which she had campaigned for. The governor went ahead alleging that BBI was unpopular initiative that most Mt Kenya voters were against.
