Since yesterday from 5 pm when voting exercise was closed by the Independent Election and Boundary Commission ( IEBC), many Kenyans have been on standby to see is elected in which political seat.
A large number of voters came out yesterday and casted their votes on their favourite candidate.
As per now, many of the politicians know their fate as IEBC had given out results in the corresponding poling stations nationwide. This includes Members of County Assembly,Women Representatives,Members of Parliament, Senators and Governors ( in some parts of Kenya).
In the Capital, the UDA candidate Sakaja won the seat for the governor over Polycarp Igathe. The competition was very tight at who will take the Member of Parliament for the Langata Constituency where he had a tough competition between Jalang'o and Nixon Korir.
With results out, Jalang'o has emerged as the winner and his opponent has conceded defeat and congratulated Jalang'o on his social media platform. He congratulated people of Langata of giving him a chance to serve them for the one term.
He also mentioned that Felix aka Jalang'o should help in moving Langata forward in terms of development.
