Speaking in an interview with NTV today, the vocal leader said that he is surprised by leaders who don't understand that the constitution is a mere piece of paper to guide Kenyans but can be bent due to circumstances.

"Constitution is just a piece of paper to guide Kenyans. So when I here some stupid politicians saying that the elections cannot be postponed, I think they don't know what they are saying," Atwoli said.

He clarified that him saying the elections will be postponed because of BBI does not mean he is favouring a particular candidate that is not prepared for the election or he is afraid of the election. To him, there are important things like BBI that can come before an election.

Atwoli assured that BBI will be back and must be past before elections. However, he maintained that the proposed changes to the Constitution were not meant for few individuals but for all Kenyans.

Atwoli warned that some of the leaders who have been busy slamming him over calls to postpone elections are those who will never ascent to power without BBI.

"Some of the leaders saying elections cannot be postponed are only safe if BBI goes through. Especially my friends Kakamega, they will never see power without BBI," Atwoli claimed.

On the 2022 race, Atwoli claimed without BBI, the race will remain between two individuals whom he refused to name. He however said that all he knows will matter is "horses" with resources and money.
