In a number of occasions and events since the Handshake, President Uhuru Kenyatta has been working closely with Hon. Raila Odinga. The two have initiated and inspected projects across the country in places like Nairobi, the Lake Region and in Mombasa.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also publicly endorsed Raila as his preferred candidate in the 2022 race. The claim is that Uhuru planning to block Ruto in the race. Uhuru has accepted Raila to be his successor but outside the Mount Kenya region. He has accompanied Raila in the Lake Region, Nairobi County to tell Kenyans that Raila is enough, 'Raila Tosha'. Raila has visited the Mount Kenya region several times but Uhuru has not dared to endorse him publicly but he left it to other leaders to do it like Maina Kamanda and Kanini Kega.
However, analyst Kevin Osido has recently made claims that there is no single rally that President Uhuru went with Raila yet Raila took the president to Kisumu. He added that President Uhuru Kenyatta should take Raila to Mount Kenya region and talk about how he stood with him when things were thick. The big question is will Uhuru Kenyatta take Hon. Raila Odinga to the Mountains or could he just be playing his cards well?
