Tension In Azimio La Umoja After Gideon Moi's KANU Makes A Declaration On August General Election

KANU Party has issued statement concerning August general election few hours after presenting it's Nairobi senatorial candidate for clearance by independent Electral commission. While speaking to the Journalists today, Nairobi branch secretary general set yh record straight on alleged zooning of some region's within Azimio La Umoja base ahead of polls. He claimed that the only seat which KANU Party won't field a candidate is presidetial post which they're supporting Orange democratic party leader, Hounerable Raila Odinga. But the rest of the Post, they are going to field candidates.

" We want to make it clear here as KANU Party members that we don't hold any gradge with other Azimio parties. However, we are not going to listen to those zooning claims being made by some Politicians within Azimio team. We only Agreed to leave the top seat for Odinga but we will be fielding candidates in all other regions." Said KANU Party Nairobi County secretary general.

This means that there will be a tight battle within Azimio team where they're going to Campaign against each other at grassroot now that they will be no zooning of the region. This might end up working against Odinga who will have to make sure that United Democratic party does not get those seats. Well, let's wait and see how things will play out soon.
