As IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati and his colleagues met with the four presidential hopefuls and their running mates at the Windsor Hotel on June 29, Martha Karua was preparing to leave the place of the ceremony when an unexpected event occurred.
As she left the hotel, the presidential running mate for the Azimio La Umoja-OKA coalition finally got to talk with Deputy President William Ruto. That kind of situation is only possible by mistake.
The DP had just arrived at the hotel to prepare for his meeting with the election authority. When the conference originally began, he wasn't there since he was overseeing an economic summit in Tharaka Nithi. She and Martha Karua were then approached by a few reporters as they were leaving the building, and they wanted to speak with her before she got into her car.
Martha Karua's words, "They were definitely taken aback by the statement, "When you see me leave a meeting, it signifies that I have no time even for it." She also objected to being interviewed ".
She took the handshake from Makau Mutua, who had come to welcome her, and headed for her car while the press acknowledged her refusal.
