Today the two horse political race is getting more complicated. The battle between Raila Odinga and William Ruto is playing out in one of the strongholds. Approximately 150 ANC officials in Eldoret have defected to Azimio coalition.
This is the latest mass defection that is putting Ruto at a political hard place. His grassroots campaign machinery is betraying in the last minutes. They say that one day in politics can be a thousand days in the normal world. With less that forty five days remaining to the general elections, Ruto needs to restrategize.
Raila Odinga is on an upward trend in terms of popularity across the country. Ruto on the other side his political basket is leaking widely. The Wrangles in Mount Kenya tuff is proving difficult for him to handle.
In Western Kenya, the sibling rivalry between Malala and Khalwale is hindering the selling of Ruto in Kakamega county.
