The Sunday Standard reports of a complex political political game plan and meticulous planning that goes towards president Uhuru Kenyatta's political moves with a powerful lady behind all the plans is identified as Nancy Gitau.
And now details have emerged on how president Uhuru Kenyatta's handlers were becoming restless with deputy president William Ruto in the run up to the highly contested 2017 presidential election.
It is reported that president Uhuru Kenyatta's camp almost replaced William Ruto as the running mate because of the Uhuruto mantra which was weighing down on the ticket in some parts of the country as it was creating an impression of the presidency being shared.
That is why the president's camp were considering replacing William Ruto as running mate with Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who was by then a running mate to ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.
"He was impressed on the need to drop and downplay the brand UhuRuto, on the basis that it was weighing down on the ticket in some places. They were considering replacing him with Kalonzo Musyoka to balance the image thing," the report read.
However, luckily for Ruto, he was not replaced as running mate with jubilee going on to win the polls.
