Tumepewa 1k Lakini Tunampigia Ruto, Says Man Who was Allegedly Paid to Attend Raila's Rally

Just a day after ODM Party boss Raila Odinga's Thika Stadium meeting, allegations of voters being paid and ferried to the venue have emerged.

In a video shared on Sunday by DP Ruto allied lawyer Ahmednasir Mohamed, a supporter one of the supporters who is clad in Jubilee Party t-shirt, claimed they were paid a thousand shillings each to go the stadium and cheer Raila Odinga.

But when asked on whether he will vote for Raila Odinga, he claimed that he was in Thika only for money and that most of them will vote for DP William Ruto.

"Sasa mmepewe kitu? eeh, nini? tumepewa thao thao, sa mtamchagua baba? nani? mimi ni wazimu? hamwezi mchagua mzee kwa nini na mmekula pesa? za mtampea nani? kura tunampea Ruto, Raila aliongea mbaya kwa uwanja" said one of the supporters in the video.

This comes just hours after Raila while speaking in Thika, launched attacks on the DP, describing him as a thief who has looted public resources.

Ruto is on Sunday, expected at Embakasi East, where he will address a large UDA party rally at Jacaranda grounds.
