Raila to address the Nation for 1st time after Ruto elect

Yesterday, Wafula Chebukati announced the results of the presidential contest and named William Ruto the victor. All other presidential candidates, with the exception of Raila Odinga, were present at the event, which was held in Bomas, Kenya.

After losing the election, Raila Odinga is scheduled to address the nation today. Raila is slated to speak today at 2pm, according to a story supplied by Mpasho News.

In essence, there was a close race between Ruto and Raila, and Ruto ultimately prevailed by a small margin. But since it was a race, one of the competitors had to come out on top and the other had to lose.

William Ruto pledged that he would serve all Kenyans, regardless of who they had voted for in the election, in his speech to the nation after being named the victor. Additionally, Ruto asserted that he had spoken with Raila Odinga yesterday morning and that both of them had agreed to accept the results.

Kenyans, however, are eagerly anticipating Raila's comments because they want to know whether he would accept loss or, if not, whether he will try to start a petition.
