Kenyans have been left talking after president William Ruto settled the hospital bill of Mukami Kimathi, the wife to Kenya's freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi. Mukami had been detained at the Nairobi hospital for many days for failing to pay and the money had accumulated to Ksh1 million.
Two days ago Mukami decided to seek help from people and that is when the news about her detention reached the president and his deputy. Ruto yesterday settled the bill but Kenyans were left with many questions. They asked why Gachagua had not paid since he had promised to pay all her bills.
Others however congratulated the president for his kindness and prayed to God that he continue blessing him. Others gave recommendations where they said that all freedom fighter families be compensated by the Kenyan and British government for the atrocities caused on them.
