Governor Waiguru declares that she is ready for the 2022 battle and she is ready to face Martha Karua and Purity Ngirici who are also eying for gubernatorial seat. She revealed that she has accomplished several things in her county such as building markets, dairy farming and tarmac roads in various parts of Kirinyaga county. She revealed that she has no problem with Martha Karua despite claiming that she is not her governor during the past interview. However, she acknowledge her as a hardworking, role model woman and she is opened up to the leadership of women in the country. She declared that all the matters concerning elections have been solved by the High Court and she is now focusing on fulfilling the promises of the people of Kirinyaga county.
She declared that some of the people have bad agendas about her political career after being called by the EACC to answer some questions. She claimed that tender was issued a long time ago before she was elected and she had nothing to do with the embezzlement of the money.
