Governors chase Ruto’s Chief of Staff from Devolution Conference

Deputy president's Chief of Staff Mr. Ken Osinde yesterday faced a difficult time as he was chased by disappointed governors from the devolution conference meeting, DP Ruto was expected to address the conference that was coming to an end yesterday but he sent his Chief of Staff to represent him as he headed to Nyandarua to address a political, The governors didn't take this issue lightly and they blocked Mr. Osinde from addressing the conference claiming that it was an international event that couldn't be addressed by 'anybody.'

"We expected the DP to attend and preside over the closing of the conference. As governors, we consider this conference as an international event, and not every person can execute such an important function,” Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said during the conference.

The Governors then resorted to calling Devolution Cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa who did not disappoint them as he arrived at a short notice and did the role that the Deputy President was supposed to conduct. "Thank you for responding to our call to attend this conference at the last minute as our guest,” Chair of Council of Governors Martin Wambora said to the CS as the conference was coming to an end.
