At the Fairmont Mt. Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki, Nyeri County, President William Ruto of Kenya officially kicked off a four-day Cabinet retreat. Cabinet secretaries, principal secretaries, and other high-profile members of Ruto's administration attended the gathering to discuss the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto's future relevance to Kenyans.
There have been contentious political debates in the nation before the Cabinet retreat in Nyeri, and Raila Odinga has told his supporters that he will issue a political directive in the coming days in light of Kalonzo's ambition to be Azimio's flag bearer in 2027. Kenyans are interested to see if Raila-led Azimio will organize rallies to call for changes in the IEBC before the 2027 election.
On the other side, DP Gachagua has reaffirmed that the Kenya Kwanza Government will collaborate with all leaders, including those from the Opposition, to advance Kenyans' well-being. He has reaffirmed that party allegiances caused by ideological disagreements will not prevent them from working with all elected leaders.
"We shall work with all elected leaders to find solutions to the problems affecting Kenyans today, regardless of party memberships caused by ideological differences." "We shall raise Kenya to new heights by working together and forming constructive alliances." Tweet from Rigathi Gachagua, the vice president:
No matter which party any elected official in Kenya belongs to, the Deputy President is committed to seeing the country advance. He has reiterated that through forming effective alliances, they will transport Kenya to greater heights.
