The outgoing IEBC Chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati has received a lot of praise from leaders and Kenyans as he exits from the commission.

AG Justin Muturi is one of the leaders who showered Chebukati with praises for the good work he has done for the past six years in IEBC and even felt like he needs to continue serving Kenyans in a different sector.
He assured Chebukati that he is not retiring because the president will find a place for him to work so that his competence is not wasted.
Muturi said, "Let us emulate the work of our brother. Mr Chebukati you are not retiring. I hope this country, this administration led by his Excellency William Samoei Ruto will find some other place for you to continue leading this country with that kind of resolve."

Chebukati also said in a speech that he is retiring from IEBC a contented man because he knows he did his best and served according to his oath of office.
Kenyans are waiting to see if the president will consider Muturi's request.
