Kirinyaga women representative Purity Ngirici has threatened to quit UDA after her rival for the gubernatorial seat Ann Waiguru shifted from Jubilee to UDA. Ann Waiguru who is the incumbent governor of Kirinyaga county is looking to defend her seat in 2022. Her main competitor is said to be the Kirinyaga women representative Purity Ngirici who will battle it out for the party ticket during the nomination.
Things took a U turn when Ann Waiguru was welcomed yesterday to UDA. Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, and Nyeri Women Representative Rahab Mukami officially welcomed Anne Waiguru to UDA Party a move that has angered Ngirici. According to reports, the Ngiricis might ditch the UDA Party as they have lamented the three leaders want to give the residents the direction to take.
"Watu wa Nakuru, Mombasa na Nyeri hawatatupanga hapa Kirinyaga. Stick to your counties and the positions you are waiting for! "Wangui Ngirici said. This has rather brought tension into the party as the said leaders may start to fight in the party.
Dp Ruto will now have to work smart to accommodate both leaders in the party as this is not a time for party members to fight. What is your take? Kindly share your views.
