"If You Don't Recognize Ruto as The President You're Taking Us Back" Raila Ally Tells Azimio Leaders

Raila Odinga's key ally John Mbadi has criticized those in the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp, and who are yet to recognize that William Ruto is the fifth President of Kenya.

A section of the leaders argued that they will not recognize Ruto as he president but as the deputy of the past immediate regime on claims that the 2022 polls were not credible.

Speaking on Monday with Spice FM, Mbadi said that any leader within the Azimio Camp who has not recognized that Ruto is the Head of State is taking the country back, and must step to the occasion and know that the 2022 politics are over.

"I wonder who are these yet to recognize Ruto as the president, you see Raila was the leader of the Azimio camp, and at no time did he say that he does not recognize Ruto as the president. The only thing he said was that he does not agree with both the IEBC and the Supreme court decisions, but the country must move forward. "

"If at this time there is anyone in Azimio who does not recognize Ruto as the president, that is taking us back, and we should move forward and accept that the 2022 elections will not be repeated, and before the 2027 polls, the country must move on and develop this country."

The ODM nominated member of parliament went on to add that despite being in the opposition and ready to oversight the government, they will work closely with the Kenya Kwanza government on matters development.

His remarks comes after President Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua and other leaders toured Nyanza Region.
