Abrupt U-Turn? Mt Kenya Allegedly Drops Bitter Truth to Raila Days After Meeting With Tycoons

President Uhuru Kenyatta's Mt Kenya region has now dismissed unverified claims and media reports that the region has already agreed to settle on Raila Odinga's 2022 Presidential Bid.

This follows the eruption of confirmed reports that the region led by NARC party Leader Hon Martha Karua, Kieni Member of Parliament Hon Kanini Kega, Meru County Governor Hon Kiraitu Murungi among other Mt Kenya leaders has announced that time for Raila's endorsement is far from happening and chances of it happening haven't increased even though he is on the handshake deal with Uhuru.

"Mt Kenya isn't a region where people organize a few rallies and then crown himself as the Preferred candidate. We have patterns, structures as well as procedures of endorsing Presidential candidates. To our brother Raila, not that we won't support just because you have been meeting with wealthy men. We, also have our plans and we are doing some scrutiny," Martha Karua said as reported by KTN News on Saturday night.
