Reprieve For Gachagua As Court Defers His 202million Case

The 2022 elections have given chance to different political players to participate in it. The Kenya kwanza alliance and the Azimio one Kenya alliance have put in place different strategies to woo their voters.

One of the critical points was during the selection of deputy party leaders. Because of their numbers, women were to be given a priority but Kenya kwanza took a different dimension and picked Rigathi Gachagua.

The Mathira Mp who hails from Nyeri county was given the post of deputy president of Kenya kwanza. Before being selected, he had different pending court cases regarding corruption.

IEBC cleared him to vie for the sit on grounds that all the cases were pending hence he was not guilty at the time.

He had a 202million corruption case which was to be heard before a decision was to be made. Today the courts deferred the case to a later date, which is to the reprieve of the mp to enable him to campaign for the Kenya kwanza brigade.
