Vocal MP Maoka Maore Rules on Mt Kenya Region Fielding a Presidential Candidate Ahead of 2022 Polls

Kenya is an independent state headed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president Dr William Ruto. The state is also guided by the Constitution which contains fundamental human rights and freedoms.

A vocal member of parliament Hon Richard Maoka Maore of Igembe North constituency has ruled out saying that Mt Kenya region will not field presidential candidate ahead of 2022 general elections.

Maore who is also a deputy majority party whip in the national assembly said that president Uhuru Kenyatta said that the top seat should be rotationary and that it should not be only Central and Rift Valley regions to churn out the presidents.

Maoka has made the remarks this evening during a live interview with a local television station known as K24. This comes after Hon. Maoka accompanied Odm leader Raila Odinga in his political tour in Meru county to popularize his presidential bid through Azimio la Umoja initiative.
