The Orange Democratic Movement party has finally managed to get aspirants in the top seats in Kakamega county where the party as enjoyed support for year.

The party had trouble getting the right candidate for the senatorial seat after resting on Fernandes Barasa amd Elsie Muhanda as the party's Governor and Women representative aspirants respectively.
According to Kakamega county Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya, ODM has successfully reached a consensus and chosen Dr. Brian Lishenga as the party's flag bearer in the August Elections as the Senatorial aspirant in Kakamega county.
"After lengthy deliberations and negotiations with 3 The Orange Democratic Movement party aspirants for the Kakamega Senatorial seat, we have reached a consensus that Dr Brian Lishenga will fly the party's ticket." Oparanya said.
"I have today unveiled Dr Lishenga and the entire ODM County line up which include; Barasa Fernandes (Governor) & ElsieMuhanda (Women Representative). We now have an ODM team that will deliver the seats for the party in Kakamega." He added.
