Khaemba: Didmus Barasa is Waiting for DP Ruto to Win the Statehouse Race Before he Can Resurface

After being accused of shooting his opponent's aide, the member of Parliament representing residents of Kimilili constituency and Kenya Kwaza diehard Didmus Barasa has gone into hiding. Despite the police launching a manhunt, the MP is still at large and still no word yet on his whereabouts.

His opponent Brian Khaemba ( who aide was shot) has updated the media and Kenyans on the incident that has left many bewildered.

Speaking to Nation Africa, Mr Khaemba of DAP-K alleged that Barasa has gone I to hiding and is now waiting for the deputy president William Ruto to win the hotly contested statehouse race before he can resurface.

"He has gone into hiding and waiting for the deputy president William Ruto to win before can resurface," said Khaemba adding that the MP hopes to be protected by Ruto as president ( incase he wins). "He is his godfather," he added.

The MP is yet to record any statement for concerning the issue. Police officers have called on him to surrender. The matter has now been taken up by Bungoma county Police commander.
