Why Ruto Was Forced To Leave Dias In Kericho

On Tuesday, Deputy President William Ruto launched his Two-day tour of Kericho, Nandi and Uasin Gishu counties.

The DP started his meet the public tours at Kedowa in Kericho before course of action to Belgut Constituency for the official opening of Kesagetiet Primary School administration and tuition block.

Ruto in the assemblage of hundreds of leaders from the country then advanced to Chebirirbei grounds in Belgut constituency, where the team addressed thousands of locals who had turned up to receive him.

However, after a number of leaders who had accompanied him addressed the residents from a dais that had been set for the purpose, Ruto was forced to leave the stage and head for his car, which was in the bosom of the thousands of supporters.

This was because the pull and push around the podium had intensified, with hundreds of supporters complaining that they could not see Ruto when speaking. Ruto had to get into his car in the middle of the field, climb on top before addressing the earger and jubilant residents

While addressing Kericho residents, Ruto promised to initiate dam construction projects in the area which were allegedly subversion by his competitors because of political reasons.

"I have come back home to say thank you. The construction of dams around here to bring you water was disrupted by propaganda and lies propagated by those who visited us in Jubilee...but I want to assure you that those dams that were sabotaged because of political reasons will be our first priority when we take over in 2022" stated Ruto

Among the leaders present included Kericho Governor Chepkwony, Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, Kipchumba Murkomen and all MPs and Women Reps from Kericho and Bomet counties.
