As August 9th general elections nears, popular politicians and newbies in the political space are entering in the most crucial period of the elections.
Azimio party leader Raila Odinga and his main opponent Kenya Kwanza leader William Ruto are battling it out to the death with both believed to be having equal support at the moment.
According to some analysts, Raila Odinga should be ahead with a huge margin if the president had openly campaigned for him especially in the Mt Kenya region.
Azimio allied bloggers and analysts have claimed the President missing in action at this time in the campaigns series is tactical.
However, analyst and professor Gitile Naituli on Monday, June 27, 2022 during the AM live morning show at NTV disagreed with this narrative.
According to Gitile, the president is not being tactical at all. He further revealed that Uhuru came to the realization that he is extremely unpopular and the only way he can help Raila at the moment in Central Kenya is to stay away from the campaigns.
He also stated that Uhuru has fallen out with his own backyard due to the poor governance and bad economy.
