Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is proving to be one of the smartest politician nationally despite being a first time MP. The 36 year old, who is a graduate of Bachelor of Economics from Kenyatta University is at the moment arguably one of the most influential leaders in Mount Kenya politics.
Nyoro, who was an hawker in his campus days rose from an investor in trading stock to a key ally of DP William Ruto and his influence can be felt especially when he appears on TV debates. He is brilliant, factual and very knowledgeable on matters to do with economy and politics.
The Kiharu MP is a development oriented leader and has massively improved the infrastructure of Kiharu constituency by building modern schools, hospitals, roads and offering school bursaries to the poor residents in his constituency. Residents say he is the best MP in Kenya and many Kenyans believe he has used his constituency development fund more efficiently than most MPs.
The big question would be what next for Nyoro? Does he continue to be an MP or should he go for the governor seat or wait to be offered a minister job by Ruto? Well my opinion is that Nyoro should aim further and actually deputise Ruto in 2022 general elections as his running mate.
He has matured politically very fast and looks like a man who has been in politics for the last 40 years because of his experience in politics, and a remarkable development record that makes him look more of a corporate leader rather than a politician.
