It is Election week and all Kenyan's eyes are on Presidential results from different media houses. Despite this, Chama Cha Mashinani Party Secretary General who is Albert Kochei has recently released a statement that former Bomet governor Isaac Ruto is hospitalized at Nairobi Hospital.
"I wish to notify members of the public that Isaac Ruto fell ill on August 9 and was airlifted to Nairobi hospital by Amref Flying Doctors," part of the statement said so.
The Secretary General added that he has been unwell for the past one week due to acute flu which necessitated immediate evacuation from Bomet for thorough medical attention.
He however said they have received a report from the doctor that he is recovering well and he will soon discharged from the hospital.
"We regret that he is not able to be with his supporters during this crucial moment of vote counting, he wishes to assure us that he will be back soon. He wishes to thank his family and supporters for their moral support and in a special way thank Amref Flying Doctors for their prompt evacuation response," the report concluded.
