The issue of traffick congestion is slowing the movement of people, goods and services in Nairobi City. The city is alway busy, the roads full of vehicles moving like a crocodile.
From 8am the flow of vehicles is slow and awkward. The Ambulance might stay on the jam for 2 hours with the patient.
As from 8am to 6 pm evening the road is always busy. People may sit in the Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) for more than 2 hours travelling. The people using bicycles might reach the same place the passenger using a vehicle is heading earlier.
Under the leadership of first in Command, the President Uhuru Kenyatta, the government took the initiative of constructing Nairobi Express Way. The Express was to run from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The Express Way is taking its course in the Central Business District. It is connecting Westlands and Mombasa Road. The technology being used is so awesome and faster than before.
The Nairobi Express road will be connected James Gichuru Road, Mulolongo, Mombasa Road, Westlands, CBD among other roads and areas. It is 70 percent completed in construction. It is expected to be completed in 2022 December.The Express Way below is at Mombasa Road passing above Bellevue footbridge.
The contractor from China Roads and Bridge Corporation is working closely with Kenya to bridge the road under completion. The issues like footbridges are being considered for the safety of Netizens.The bridge above is Bellevue Footbridge, instead of pulling it down the Express Way pass above it. It was constructed above it to save milions of money used to construct it. The Bellevue cost ksh 362 the government of Kenya.
