The Judicial service commission interviews to find the next president of the judiciary finally came to an end on Friday the 23rd Day of April 2021. A total number of 10 candidates attended the interviews.
Those who attended the interviews include, The President of the Court of Appeal Justice William Ouko, Court of Appeal Judge Lady Justice Martha Koome, High Court Judge Said Chitembwe and Employment and Labour Relations Judges Mathews Nduma Nderi, and Justice Njagi Marete.
Others were Senior Counsel Philip Murgor, senior counsel Fred Ngatia and Justice Patricia Mbote. The last candidates to be interviewed were, Prof Dr. Wekesa Moni and Alice Yano.
The ball is now in JSC's coart, it is the body responsible to pick the best candidate, however, according to the former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale, Justice William Ouko and SC Fred Ngatia emerged the winners.
Boni has made a special request to president Uhuru, he has urged the head of state not to consider the tribe but an individual and give Kenya the best head of Judiciary.
