Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has today in the evening landed at his Mathira home constituency in Nyeri county flanked by a section of legislators allied to ruling UDA party.




The second in command was warmly received by area Mathira member of parliament Eric Mwangi Wamumbi and other local leaders from Nyeri county.
Senior Security officials from Nyeri county were also in the ground to welcome the second in command in his Mathira home constituency.
" Welcomed His Excellency the deputy president to his home Constituency, Mathira" posted Mathira legislator Eric Mwangi on his official Facebook page.

The second in command was flanked by Meru Senator who doubles as senate deputy speaker Kathuri Murungi, North Imenti legislator Rahim Dawood and Tigania West legislator John Mutunga.
Deputy president Gachagua is scheduled for a series of consultative meetings with elected leaders from the region included Meru County leadership in a bid to end the escalating differences between the assembly and executive.
