Prof Manyora claimed the top Western leaders who declared support for Raila might have scared Ruto after realizing the leaders who are left in his team and the level of influence they have in the region.
“Bukhungu might have scared Ruto a bit because they might not have expected it will be that successful. They didn’t expect the Luhyas will speak with one voice. After Bukhungu featured Atwoli and other Western leaders, who are you left with? That is what is difficult for Ruto,” said Manyora.
The political analyst further said DP Ruto has the numbers to win the presidential election adding that Raila is slowly catching up as they both seek to build their support base in different regions.
According to Manyora, the former Prime Minister who recently declared he will be in the presidential race is slowly wooing voters adding that he will soon overtake DP Ruto.
“Ruto has the numbers but Raila will finally win the election, he is getting there. Raila is coming from behind with serious energy and strategy and he will overtake Ruto. Raila is a political genius,” said Manyora.
