Kenyan have been thrown to celebratory mood after President Uhuru Kenyatta lifts the nationwide curfew.

Speaking at Mashujaa Day 2021, the first in command has stated there will be no any more curfew.

Mashujaa Day, marked annually in honour of Kenyan heroes, is being held in Kirinyaga County this year in line with President Uhuru Kenyatta's 2015 directive on rotational hosting of two National Days (Madaraka Day and Mashujaa Day) in the Counties.

Thousands of wananchi from all walks of life arrive at Wang'uru Stadium in Mwea, Kirinyaga County for this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations.

In strict compliance with Covid-19 containment protocols on social distancing, the number of Kenyans in the brand new 10,000-capacity Wang'uru Stadium has been capped at 3,000 people.

Malawi's President, Dp Ruto and former NASA principles were also present.
