2022 presidential race has narrowed down to a two-horse race with William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza alliance and ODM boss Raila Odinga of the Azimio One Kenya coalition taking the lead as the top two leaders who are likely to succeed President Uhuru.
In Ruto and Raila camp, it is a season of defection and William Ruto is the latest leader to be dealt a huge blow after a powerful ally to Kenya Kwanza which he leads ditched the coalition and declared his support for the Azimio candidate.
According to TV47, former Bungoma Deputy governor Hillary Chongwony has today exited Ford Kenya which is a coalition partner of Kenya Kwanza, and declared his support for DAP candidate Wycliffe Wangamati who is the Azimio candidate for Bungoma gubernatorial seat.
Today's move comes at a day after four governor aspirants ditched UDA which is a coalition patner in Kenya Kwanza alliance and declared that they will back DAP candidate George Natembeya bid to be the next Trans Nzoia governor as reported by Saturday standard page 5.
