Days after Raila Odinga and William Ruto chosing their running mates, different opinion polls have been conducted by various organizations showing the gap between their running mates. The latest opinion poll that has been released by TIFA has now shown who is likely to be more popular between Martha Karua and Rigathi Gachagua.
According to the opinion polls, 85% of Kenyans have named Martha Karua, Odinga's presidential running mate under Azimio La Umoja as more popular against Gachagua, Ruto's presidential running mate who has 59%. This means that Azimio La Umoja has gained popularity in Kenya as Kenyans show interest in supporting Raila Odinga to win the August 9th presidential elections.
It is believed that the two running mates will ensure that their leaders get handful votes from Mount Kenya Region to see them their way to state House. Since Karua's appointment by Raila, she has so far visited Kirinyaga to urge residents to vote for Raila for them to be in safe hands.
Additionally, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya and ODM party leader Raila Odinga has continued to gain popularity by 39% as Kenya Kwanza and UDA party leader William Ruto being position 2 with 35% while Kalonzo taking position 3 with 2%. On matters concerning political party alignment, United Democratic Alliance UDA party leads in popularity by 29%, Orange Democratic Movement ODM party by 25%, while WIPER and Jubilee party share 3% popularity.
