
Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi was among the leaders who accompanied Raila Odinga to his rally currently underway in EMBU. Kiraitu's Yellow Color dominates Raila's rally which happens to be part of the party that signed an agreement to see Raila Odinga endorsed as Azimio la Umoja's presidential candidate.

While speaking at the Rally, Kiraitu Murungi revealed that he is so confident that Raila Odinga will win the region's votes with a huge margin as compared to Ruto whose influence in the region is said to be growing. This is according to the latest opinion polls.
Raila Odinga on the other hand has said that he is ready to work with Meru and Embu leaders to ensure that change and development are achieved in the area. He has said that he knows the challenges being faced by the region and is therefore so keen to ensure that they are met once he ascends to power.
