The residents of Vihiga constituency in Vihiga County have all reasons to smile after the area Member of National assembly Hon Ernest Kagesi started construction and maintenance of over 25 kilometres of road.
The MP has acknowledged the critical role road networks play in economic growth which according to him has informed his decision to prioritize the road works.
"Proper road network and connectivity is an absolute socio-economic game-changer, as the patron Kenya Rural Roads Authority and the people’s representative, I am committed to ensuring the Vihiga Constituency road network is at its best.
To this effect, we have embarked on doing a total of ten roads across the constituency amounting to over 25 kilometres which will include routine maintenance and opening up of new roads." Kagesi said
The KERRA chairperson Vihiga constituency madam Emma Jumba who spoke to us said that the works have started and in the next one month, it is expected to be more than 90% completed.
