Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), has startled Kenyans. This is after he made certain comments that caused a stir. The opposition leader is in the midst of a presidential campaign. He is prepared to take over as President Uhuru Kenyatta's successor. In August, he will be up against William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and other candidates.
Raila Odinga took to social media to post a message about political stability. He claims that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to finding work, good schools, and hospitals, among other things. Political stability is the only thing that leads to improved life. When the country is politically stable, peace will reign supreme, and progress will follow.
Kenyans reacted positively to Raila Odinga's statement. He was reminded that he is Kenya's ruler of political unrest. Every time he loses an election, he organizes a massive protest with his many fans. His neighborhood is notorious for vandalizing other people's businesses and wreaking havoc on the streets. All of this is for the benefit of a single person.
Raila Odinga should be prepared to both preach and drink water. He should be a peace ambassador. He has a lot of power and hence might be an excellent peacemaker. His frequent demands for mass action show that he is unconcerned with other people's lives. He is a self-centered leader who demands that everything be done his way.
Leaders must not follow Raila Odinga's approach if the country is to progress forward. It's not a good idea to call for massive protests every five years. Not every president will be ready to shake hands. Leaders must be willing to accept defeat without violence if peace and progress are to be achieved. In comparison to previous election cycles, 2022 is a unique year.
The deputy president and his team have shifted the political landscape. There would be no more violence if Raila Odinga's Azimio movement succeeds in uniting Kenyans. If either of them is elected, it will be a victory for Kenyans.
