Cleophas Malalah took his Campaigns in Kakamega to seek support for his gubernatorial bid together with various Kenya Kwanza Coalition leaders. In the gubernatorial race, Malalah will be seeking to succeed Wycliffe Oparanya as governor for Kakamega with a fierce contest from Fernandes Baraza of the ODM and Azimio La Umoja coalition.
This two prolific coalitions have been in the forefront posing every able politian in various political posts ahead of August 9 general election. They have campaigned across the country criticizing each other on campaign platforms.
Malalah today has said that campaigning for Azimio in Western Kenya is like selling pork in Saudi Arabia. This follows after polls revealed a contradictory to this statement. The Azimio La Umoja's popularity is above that of Kenya Kwanza Coalition.

He further added that Kenya Kwanza was the only coalition that has a plan to develop and sustain the region on economic growth as it has a good track record for it. He also campaigned for Kenya Kwanza's flag bearer.
"Selling Azimio la Umoja in Western Kenya is akin to selling pork in Saudi Arabia because they have no tangible track record on what they have done for the western on matters development.
They also have no clear plans on how they will empower." Malalah said in Khwisero.
