Sources Reveals How Ngilu 'Saved' ODM Party From Collapsing as More Details on Karen Meeting Emerge

Yesterday the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga held a crisis meeting with Siaya County senator James Orengo and Rarieda MP Dr Otiende Amollo to iron out some of their issues that threatened the unity of the party. This comes after Dr Otiende and Orengo disagreed with Raila on some issues on the Building Bridges Initiative constitutional amendment Bill 2020, something that almost divided the party.

And now, new details have emerged indicating that Kitui County governor Mama Charity Ngilu played a very important role in Reconciling the two with their party leader Raila Odinga. As seen reported by the Star newspaper this morning, the meeting that also involved Kakamega County governor Wycliffe Ombetsa Oparanya was orchestrated by the NARC Kenya party leader.

"other sources claim that the Karen Meeting was called for by Kitui County governor Mama Charity Ngilu to iron out some of the misunderstandings in the Building Bridges Initiative report," Part of the report stated.

Before the Karen Meeting, COTU boss Francis Atwoli hosted Oparanya, Otiende and Orengo at his Aldama home in Kajiado County. The main agenda of the meeting was to iron out some issues around the BBI to clear out some of the misunderstandings.
