President Uhuru Kenyatta was expected today to attend to an event in the country’s capital but rather chose to settle on Karanja Kibicho to represent him in the event which happened at Uhuru Park. The event was a launch of hospital beds by Kenyan innovators.
An extract from Kibicho's Twitter account
During their first time in office, Uhuru would settle on his deputy to represent him in key government functions in case he was unable to make it to the function. Their relationship was so cordial to an extent where he left the country to his deputy when he visited the International Criminal Courts in the Hague Netherlands.
However things began to fall apart when the president openly wend to the handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga, which made Ruto feel left out from the decision. This is not the first time that Uhuru Kenyatta has openly sidelined his deputy on matters governance and project launch.
