Meru county is one of the places that will be watched closely during the August general elections. This is because there is a stiff competition between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party aspirants. The senatorial race is also not exception, the race will also be very competitive. Deputy President William Ruto's man Kathuri Murungi is performing so well.
According to Mizani Africa research company, the opinion poll conducted in the area show that Murungi is leading with 60.5% followed by Joseph Arimba with 18.6%then James Mithika with 10%. This simply means that UDA party aspirant is commanding a good lead and he is likely to emerge victorious.
The Meru UDA team has been combining their strength to make sure that they perform well and their efforts bear fruits. The gubernatorial race also shows that they are not badly off and they have good support from the residents.
