Justin Muturi Quits His DP Leadership To Take Up Attorney General Job, More Details Emerge

The selection of a 22-member Cabinet was the most recent step taken by President William Samoei Ruto as part of his effort to assume full control of the government on behalf of his Kenya Kwaza Alliance. In addition, the Head of State puts forward a candidate to succeed Kihara Kariuki, who appears to be resigning from her current role.

Before the contentious election on August 9 that they won, President Ruto lavishly paid his close political allies who played crucial roles in the Kenya Kwanza campaigns. These allies were instrumental in the campaigns for Kenya Kwanza.

If Justin Muturi is able to win the support of the National Assembly of the Republic of Kenya, he will be put forward for consideration to take over the role of attorney general for the nation.

In order to adequately ready himself for the huge responsibility that will soon fall on his shoulders, Muturi has just now resigned as the leader of the Democratic Party ahead of the vetting that will be conducted by the National Assembly.

Before the general elections that were held on August 9, the Kenya Kwanza Alliance counted the Democratic Party as one of its core members. These elections just took place.
