Plans to bring down Deputy President William Ruto have officially kicked off as details emerge the task ahead for over 3000 Kikuyu Elders who attended Saturday's Statehouse meeting.
It has been established that President Uhuru tasked the over 3000Kikiuyu elders who attended the Statehouse meeting to kick off anti-Rito campaigns in the Mt Kenya region convincing the community why the President settled on Raila Odinga as his preferred presidential candidate and not his Deputy.
Led by Kiama Kia Ma National chair said the president Wachira Kiago has informed that the President tasked them to preach his message to women and youths in Mt Kenya region in ensuring that they drive out the lies that DP Ruto has instilled in the ears of the People of Mt Kenya about his fall out with his boss.
“We have been tasked with convincing the region on why the president settled on Raila and also on the importance of peace and unity. We shall give counsel to the electorate to reject the leaders who spew hatred. We will also share with our people the need to work with other communities,” Kiago said.
Muranga chair for Kikuyu Council of Elders Kiarii Rugami has also confirmed that they will be kicking off grassroots campaigns against Deputy President William Ruto saying that the move is to ensure that the community will be on a safer ground come the next government.
“We shall start with our families and the extended ones before rolling out sensitization meetings in all the counties where we are represented,” Rugami said.
