The number of President William Ruto's allies, whose corruption and other criminal cases have been dropped from court so far has hit 12, all of whom the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has told the courts to drop their cases due to lack of sufficient evidence to continue with them. According to today's publication by Taifa Leo Newspaper, there are already 12 top Kenyans who are the allies of President William Ruto whose various cases have been dropped by the courts since Ruto took over power. All of whom the DPP has made a u-turn on their cases by telling the court that there is no enough evidence against them.
The latest entrant into the list is the business woman Mary Wambui who's Sh2.2 billion tax evasion case was dropped yesterday. Others are Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua whose several cases have all been quashed by the courts following a request made by DPP Noordin Haji, former Kenya Power Managing Director Ben Chumo, former Kenya Pipeline Managing Director Joe Sang, former Kenya Ports Authority managing director Daniel Manduku, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi, former Kenya Power Secretary Beatrice Meso, Sarah Cohen who had been accused of killing her husband Tob Cohen and Public Service and Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa.
