Just a day after presidency William Ruto announced the appointment of the new Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has broken silence and given his view on the appointment.

Taking to his official twitter handle, senior counsel Ahmednasir said that the significant factor that stands out is that President Ruto did not look out to his backyard Kalenjin tribe for the important appointment.

President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed George Kinoti, a kikuyu and also the late Mwai Kibaki appointed Ndegwa Muhoro also a kikuyu.

President William Ruto appointed Amin Mohammed through a gazette notice which was dated October 14, 2022.
The office of the DCI was declared vacant after resignation of former DCI George Kinoti.
